What to Do When You Have Problems With Your Vision

If you work on computers all day and well into the night like I do, you probably have some issues with your eyes. I used to have 20/20 vision until a few years ago. I couldn't see the small print on my computer screen, even after I adjusted the monitor's settings. Sometimes, everything would appear blurry or out of focus. Eventually, I sought help from an eye doctor. The doctor diagnosed me with computer vision syndrome and prescribed eyeglasses to correct it. Now, I rest my eyes as much as possible when I work. I wanted to help other people with their vision problems, so I started this blog. My blog offers many tips on how to improve your eyesight, as well as what to do when your vision fails. Good luck with your vision problems and thanks for stopping in.

How To Pick Perfect Eyeglass Frames

Blog

Are you in need of new glasses? Or maybe, after a recent vision test or problems with your vision, you are going to get glasses for the first time. Whatever the case may be, picking new eyeglasses is always a bit of a daunting task. Obviously, you want to find glasses that are affordable and that will hold up for several years, but you also, of course, want glasses that will look great on you and complement your features. The key is to get your glasses through a reliable but affordably priced seller, which can be accomplished with a little research, and, of course,to know what type of eyeglass frames look best on your face!

Color Counts

First things fist, when it comes to choosing your eyeglass frames, you want to give some serious consideration to the color that you choose. A lot of people just buy frames in their favorite color, and while that's sometimes okay, more often than not, you are better off choosing frames that match your eye color. So, if you have brown eyes, for example, you would go for brown frames. This tends to create a consistent, flattering look that draws attention to your eyes and not your glasses.

If you really don't want to match your eye color to your frames, then at least choose a color that complements your skin tone. The right color won't stand out too much or detract from your face but will simply blend naturally with your face, features, and coloring.

Don't Emphasize Roundness

Some people have rounder faces. If you are one of them and you're not careful, your eyeglass frames can actually end up emphasizing your facial roundness and making your face look wider and rounder than it actually is, which is the last thing you want.

The best strategy for people with round faces is to go for frames that have a square or rectangle shape. The width of these types of frames tend to minimize the appearance of roundness in the face. In fact, if you choose your frames carefully, you can actually make your face appear much thinner and more attractive, which is a nice bonus to wearing glasses!

These are just a couple of simple tips for choosing the right eyeglass frames. By following these tips and also trying on a few pairs of glasses (and maybe bringing an honest friend along for input!), you can easily find the perfect frames to complement you. Click here to find out more.
